The Vision: A Dream Parquet Floor in Northenden

When our lovely client moved into her new home in Northenden (M22), she had her heart set on a timeless parquet floor that would flow beautifully throughout her hallway, lounge, and dining area.

After reviewing a number of options with our design team, she fell in love with the Polyflor Camaro Georgian Oak. This specific LVT perfectly captures the authentic warmth and grain of real wood, delivering a breathtaking finish while remaining highly cost-effective and strictly within her budget. To frame the space and add a touch of traditional elegance, she opted for a bespoke single-plank border around the perimeter of each room.

Technical Floor Preparation: Plywood & Screed

A flawless luxury vinyl parquet installation requires an exceptionally smooth and structurally sound subfloor, especially when transitioning across multiple rooms.

Our professional floor preparation team executed a meticulous two-step process:

• Structural Overlay: We securely installed 9mm Hanson SP101 flooring-grade ply directly over the existing original floorboards to create a robust, deflection-free base.

• Precision Smoothing: We then applied a full top coat of premium Ardex NA latex screed, ensuring the surface was perfectly flat and primed for the intricate parquet design.

Expert Polyflor Parquet Installation

With the groundwork perfectly laid, our dedicated Polyflor fitters brought the vision to life.

They meticulously installed the Georgian Oak herringbone blocks across the hallway, lounge, and dining area, carefully cutting and fitting the custom single-plank border to frame the architecture of the new home. The result is a seamless, highly durable, and visually stunning floor that completely transforms the property.
