PROJECT OVERVIEW: Our client, My Reynolds contacted  Luxury Flooring Manchester whilst in the early stages of extending the rear of his property. Mr Reynolds set about searching for a local flooring company that specialised in Karndean Flooring in Sale Town Centre  He had his heart set on a large format grey stone effect tile so we introduced him to Mico from Karndean’s Opus range. He loved it!

PREPARATION: Our journey with this project began with a critical assessment of the extension, particularly focusing on its high moisture levels in the concrete slab. Our aim was to expedite the preparation process, and after careful consideration, we swiftly determined that using an epoxy damp-proof membrane was the way forward. This solution allowed us to achieve dry conditions within just 12 hours, enabling us to proceed with floor preparation services, including the application of a latex smoothing compound. This efficient approach paved the way for us to commence the installation within a mere 24 hours.

INSTALLATION: With meticulous planning and preparation in place, our expert Karndean Fitters embarked on the installation phase. The large-format tiles were meticulously laid in a brick bond pattern, with a 5mm gap enhanced by contrasting grout strips. The adhesive of choice for this task was the reliable Karndean universal adhesive, ensuring a secure and visually striking installation.
