Luxury Flooring Manchester had the privilege of collaborating with Goodman Luxury Homes on a prestigious three-property development in Alderley, Cheshire. Our goal was to bring their interior design vision to life, and for the perfect flooring solution, Karndean Design Flooring was specified for each property. Specifically, Limed Silk Oak from the Da Vinci range.

In order to expedite the project and address the high moisture levels in the concrete slab, which measured 92% RH, we implemented a fast-track solution. We installed an Epoxy Damp Proof Membrane (Ardex DPM 1C) to the concrete subfloor, allowing 24 hours for it to cure. After conducting a thorough inspection and confirming the structural integrity of the DPM, we proceeded with the final preparation process, which involved screeding using Ardex NA smoothing compound. Another 24 hours were allotted for the screed to cure, ensuring a stable and level surface.

The floor installation commenced the following day, with our team of Karndean fitters leading the way. To achieve a seamless and harmonious look, the flooring was installed with continuity throughout the ground floor, starting from the hallway and extending into each room. For the installation, we utilised Karndean universal adhesive, known for its exceptional performance in securing Karndean Flooring.
