PROJECT OVERVIEW Our client, Mrs. Chawoo, reached out to Luxury Flooring Manchester during the initial phases of a significant kitchen extension project. She enlisted our services to supply and install Karndean Design flooring for the hallway, kitchen, and dining area. Upon discovering the beauty of Limed Linen Oak from the exquisite Da Vinci range, she knew it was the perfect choice.
FLOOR SPECIFICATION: Da Vinci Limed Linen Oak RP98 Highlighted by its knot and grain pattern, the pale limed-washed visuals of this oak look plank give a unique versatility, making it a great choice for a range of spaces and interior styles. Also, the 36” x 3” design lends itself superbly to more creative laying patterns, particularly a full-length herringbone pattern.
FLOOR PREPARATION & FITTING The project involved preparing the subfloor with a surface damp-proof membrane and latex screed. Due to the difference in levels of the existing area and the new extension, we screeded the floor in 2 stages to achieve an SR1 standard (surface regularity). The floor was installed in a standard straight plank style by our expert Karndean Fitters.
