PROJECT OVERVIEW: Mr & Mrs Foden contacted Luxury Flooring Manchester to help choose a modern and stylish designer floor his new home. They wanted something dark, unique, easy to manage – something with the WOW factor! We specified Karndean Opus – Argen due to the striking silver highlights and strong charcoal of this wood effect plank to create a statement throughout the large kitchen space, hallway and day room.
KARNDEAN SPECIFICATION Opus Argen WP414 Argen brings striking silver highlights to the strong charcoal of this distinctive wood effect large plank. For a really impactful finishing touch, consider a silver keyline or tramline border at the edge of your space to draw out the silver tones of the Argen grain.
PREPARATION: In this project, we faced a comprehensive renovation that included the complete gutting of the space down to its bare shell, along with a new extension. The subfloor presented a unique challenge, as it was a blend of old and new surfaces, featuring both floorboards and concrete. To address this, we expertly installed an epoxy-damp-proof membrane, ensuring thorough leveling from front to back. Our dedication to quality was evident as we achieved a flawless finish, meeting the SR1 flooring standard.
INSTALLATION: Our expert Karndean Karndean fitters commenced with this installation by installing a full plank border set with a tramline border around the perimetre. From start to finish this project took 7 days.
