You cannot “throw down” an Amtico Décor floor. These are intricate, modular tiles that require laser-guided precision. As Exper Decor fitters we follow a strict protocol:
- Subfloor Perfection: We use Amtico-approved smoothing compounds to create a mirror-flat surface. Any bumps in the subfloor will ruin the geometric alignment.
- Symmetry Planning: We calculate the exact centre line of your room to ensure the pattern cuts are equal on both sides (no “slivers” of tile at the edges).
- The Border Scribe: We hand-cut the perimeter borders to frame the design, ensuring it hugs your skirting boards perfectly.

Standard LVT usually comes in planks or simple tiles. Décor is designed specifically to recreate “Heritage” flooring.
