PROJECT: Mr. Gornell was in the process of giving his home a makeover, and he reached out to Luxury Flooring Manchester for the supply and installation of engineered wood flooring in the lounge and diner of his property in Northenden, Greater Manchester.
SPECIFICATION: DECO PARQUET ZB101 has a thick European rustic oak surface which is brushed and textured so that subtle grey colour oils settle in the grain of this bevel-edged, engineered herringbone wood flooring. Unlike traditional parquet blocks, the Deco Parquet range of floors is engineered with a thick oak top layer with beveled edges bonded to a hardwood ply base, which means they can be bonded to any flat surface including over low-energy underfloor heating systems.
FLOOR PREPARATION: For this project, our initial step involved addressing water-damaged floorboards. We proceeded to repair these damaged boards and then installed 9mm plywood in both the lounge and dining rooms to create a flat and level surface that was ready for the final floor covering.
V4 WOOD FLOORING INSTALLATION: The goal for this installation was to create a herringbone-style floor with a modern borderless look in each separate room. This delightful project was wrapped up by our parquet flooring fitters in just four days, covering a total area of 36m.
