Professional Subfloor Preparation in Culcheth

Achieving a flawless parquet finish requires meticulous groundwork. Because this home featured a recently extended concrete slab, our expert floor preparation team had to address high residual moisture levels before any wood could be laid.

1. 1. Moisture Control (DPM): We installed a high-performance surface damp-proof membrane over the new concrete to permanently protect the engineered oak from moisture damage.

   2. Precision Levelling: Once the moisture was sealed, we skilfully applied a premium latex screed. This achieved an SR1 standard—a perfectly flat, “glass-like” subfloor that is absolutely critical for the precise geometry of parquet flooring.

With the foundation perfectly prepared, our professional wood flooring fitters executed the herringbone installation of the V4 Deco Parquet.
