PROJECT: Our valued client, Mrs Dillon reached out to Luxury Flooring Manchester to supply and install Karndean Art Select Glacier Oak throughout the ground floor of her home following a large extension and extensive home remodeling
SPECIFICATION: Karndean Glacier Oak SM-RL21 offers the beauty and style of traditional French oak but in a stunning palette of on-trend glacial greys – shades not ordinarily found in oak. With subtle hints of soft pinks and beige to warm the overall effect, you can tailor your room design to complement the pastels or contrast with darker wooden furniture and accessories.
PREPARATION: For this project, our highly skilled floor preparation team was tasked with meticulously preparing the subfloor across the entire ground floor of a residential property in Didsbury, Greater Manchester. After detecting elevated moisture levels within the subfloor, we took precise measures to address it. Firstly, we applied an epoxy damp-proof course to create a moisture barrier. Next, we installed flooring-grade plywood for added structural integrity. Finally, we applied a fiber-reinforced self-leveling compound as the finishing touch. This multi-step process was crucial to achieve a perfectly flat and level surface, ensuring that the floor was prepared to meet and exceed the highest industry standards for quality and durability.
INSTALLATION: Our team of highly skilled Karndean fitters installed this exquisite parquet flooring to the entire ground floor, including the hallway, open-plan kitchen, and dining space. To create a seamless flow, we incorporated a single plank border that extended gracefully from room to room without any breaks in the doorways.
