PROJECT: Mr. & Mrs. Pollick our valued clients, reached out to Luxury Flooring Manchester with a vision. They entrusted us with the task of finding, supplying, and installing a large format herringbone flooring that would span their impressive new home in Prestwich, encompassing the grand entrance, spacious kitchen, and inviting dining room.

SPECIFICATION: Karndean Distressed Oak VGW82T has pronounced grain with greater knot and line details in its oaky grey design. An authentic rustic finish with none of the drawbacks of real timber makes for a great traditional style that works across a range of spaces.

PREPARATION: For this project, our floor preparation team was tasked with assessing and preparing the existing ceramic tile floor, which the customer preferred not to remove. After confirming the structural integrity of the tiles, we meticulously prepared them using a heavy-duty primer suitable for non-absorbent surfaces, followed by a latex smoothing compound. This meticulous process guarantees a flawless finish that adheres to the most stringent industry standards.

INSTALLATION: Our goal for this project was to create a seamless, continuous flow by installing large format planks in a herringbone pattern throughout the expansive entrance, kitchen, and dining areas. This impressive undertaking covered a total area of 103 square meters and was successfully completed by our team of skilled Karndean fitters in just six days.
